Distinctive for the old town of Bosa is her characteristic architecture. Bosa represent a truly beautiful combination of colorful streets, culture, history, art, tradition, and nature. Bosa is located on the northwest coast of Sardinia and is a popular holiday destination for people from all over the world.
In the eleventh century the rich and powerful family Malaspina built a castle on top of a hill nearby Bosa. Visiting the castle, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Bosa. The original walls of the castle are still preserved and with a single ticket for the castle, you can also visit the chapel and the church.
Famous for Bosa is their roman stone bridge named Ponte Vecchio, which is the translation of ‘old bridge’. The bridge crosses the river Temo, which is the only river in Sardinia where ships can sail. Along the river there are the well-known colored houses and some nice bars to get a delicious cocktail and some snacks.
On walking distance from the center of Bosa, there is Bosa Marina beach. The beach has a length of almost 900 meters. From the beach there is an amazing view of the Aragonese tower (La torre di bosa). Facilities like beach beds, parasols, and toilets are all available.
For good coffee, nice shops, and Italian food the well-known shopping district Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the place to be. In the evenings you can enjoy some live music at the Piazza Monumento, the main square of Bosa, while exploring the real Italian food.
